About us

Reece A. Jones, MD, is trained in internal medicine as well as board certified in Allergy/Immunology (American Board of Allergy and Immunology.) He is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Dr. Jones received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah. He attended the University of Nevada, Reno for medical school, staying at the University of Nevada, Reno for his residency training in Internal Medicine. Completing his allergy fellowship at Penn State Hershey Medical Center prior to returning to Nevada.
Dr. Jones has several publications/presentations at national allergy meetings, he has also submitted a book chapter for publication. Outside of the office he keeps busy with his wife, 4 young boys, and 2 young girls. His hobbies include triathlons, fishing, waterskiing, and enjoying the great outdoors. As a Nevada native he loves to be among the sage and pine.t

Lisa Tate is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who was born and raised in Reno, Nevada. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science from the University of Nevada, Reno, and began her nursing career in the intensive care unit at a local trauma center. In 2006, she graduated with honors from Western University of Health Sciences with a master’s degree in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification. She later earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. Lisa brings nearly 20 years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner to her role in allergy and immunology. She is passionate about providing compassionate, personalized care and helping patients understand their conditions, manage their symptoms, and improve their quality of life. She feels honored to continue serving the community she has long called home. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters and exploring the Sierra Nevada through cycling, skiing, and hiking.

Rylie Johnson – FNP-C is a Family Nurse Practitioner. Rylie completed her Bachelor’s of Nursing from Brigham Young University-Idaho and worked as an emergency room nurse for 20+ years. She completed her Doctorate of Nursing from the University of Nevada, Reno and is certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Rylie attended high school in a small Nevada town and cares about increasing medical access to care within the state. Her doctoral project centered on allergy and asthma care in rural communities and created a tool-kit to assess allergy and asthma needs in smaller communities. Rylie enjoys being with her family. She spends her free time chasing her children around their various activities. Besides being on the sports field they also enjoy camping and being at the lake.

Maysie Van Leeuwen-PA-C is our Physician’s Assistant. She is primarily based in our Sandy, Utah location. She finished her physician’s assistant training at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is dedicated to the field of allergy and her patients. She spends her time away from work with her loving husband and daughter. She loves Utah and the outdoors. She is looking forward to getting our Utah clinic, Peak Allergy and Asthma off the ground and providing needed care to the community.
